How it works

History and your warehouse

Retrixus reads Recurly live. If you have a warehouse, it covers only what the warehouse hasn't caught up on yet, and your AI uses the warehouse for the rest.

Retrixus reads Recurly when you ask, so its answers include what happened in the last hour.

How far back that reaches depends on whether you have a warehouse. Tell Retrixus under Admin, History.

If you have Recurly's Snowflake share, or BigQuery

Keep using it for history: your AI connects to it with that warehouse's own connector. Retrixus covers only the stretch your warehouse hasn't loaded yet:

  • refreshed hourly: the last few hours;
  • refreshed daily: up to the last day and a half. Recurly's daily share starts at 07:00 UTC and can take hours to finish.

Retrixus tells your AI where the rest is, and how to avoid counting anything twice: it asks the warehouse for the latest record it has, then asks Retrixus only for what came after.

If you don't have a warehouse

Retrixus reads up to seven days live, while you wait. For a longer question, up to 30 days, your AI starts a background analysis and checks back a few minutes later (Business plan).

For history beyond that, Warehouse Sync (an add-on) loads your Recurly data into your own BigQuery every hour. See Setting up BigQuery.
